Food as Art

Photographing this masterpiece that the chef at Open Food Catering so brilliantly prepared made me think of art. The plate is the chefs canvas and the ingredients his paint.

I felt that this angle from the top would show off the graphic and visual aspect of the dish best. Making sure to lower my position just a little to show the 3D nature of the fruit kebabs in the centre.

What a delicous subject!

The Winston Hotel

This gorgeous hotel is embedded in the heart of Rosebank.
The design of the building as well as the attention to detail in the interiors is impecable.
Original lighting and artwork throughout the hotel are inspiring.
I so enjoyed photographing this venue, think it's going to go places!
